The day started with a visit to the Boston Tea Party Museum, a wonderful interactive exhibition on the events that led up to the Boston Tea Party and the start of the American Revolution. We were Patriots at the meeting house where Samuel Adams called for the tea to be thrown into Boston Harbour, we boarded the merchant vessel and threw the tea overboard (as well as having a tour of the cargo hold and captain's quarters), we were on the streets of Boston listening to the citizens reactions as well as watching the battle where the shot was fired that "was heard around the world".

Morning Tea was at the cafe where we enjoyed a piece of the designated State Cake, Boston Cream Pie and a cup of tea.

We then ventured to the JFK Presidential museum and library. An introductory film took us through his early life from boy, to college graduate, to author, naval officer and eventually politician. It stopped as he gained pre-selection. We then worked our way through the exhibition showing us moments via film clips and displays, of his life and achievements from his election campaign through to his assassination. It was very interesting. And no, they didn't mention Marilyn or any other affairs of that nature! Another great day in Boston.

ReplyDeleteJFK: So many good intentions, underpinned by handsomeness. Almost as aesthetically gifted as the sign proper-upperers you've photographed here!
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of photos, you take crispy-clean images, Jen. Love your work. 📷💥
Ps. Ahhh, the squirrel count is pretty low so far, no?
