Quirky Roadside Offerings and Museums - Only in America!

The quirky is one thing that you can find along the roadside in the USA. Here are a smattering of the types we found today!

A couple of covered bridges were also on the list to see today. Usually just one lane but we got a two lane bridge.

Our museums were fairly diverse with the first being The new England Maple Syrup museum, where we had explained how Maple Syrup is collected, boiled down and kept for distribution. There is only a 6 week period that sap can be collected from the Sugar Maple trees, so it is pretty intense during that time period.

Our second museum was the University of Vermont Morgan horse farm, which told us all about the history the Vermont State animal, the Morgan horse. We were then able to have a look at a few horses and hear how they breed and train the horses at the farm.

Our last port of call was the Teddy Bear Factory, which was to do with how the Vermont Teddy Bear is made.

We did try to see a waterfall but it was raining and making the rocks very slippery so we passed on that attraction (eventually). It has rained all day, but we are here to see things so we soldier on. The weather is suppose to get better from now on, so lets hope so. Tonight we are in Shelburne, just outside of Burlington.
