First stop is a covered bridge. First one in Massachusetts. At the same location is a monument to the "Off World" encounter by Thomas E. Reed and his family. The encounter with a UFO has been awarded a Governor's Citation and is now recognised as part of the history of Massachusetts. No joke!

We're back across the border on a back road, and see one of the few actual border markers between the states.

We come across a private covered bridge on our journey, and Otis Reservoir that has plenty of lake side properties.

We do get around but today we said good-bye to Connecticut for good this trip. Off to new places and sights tomorrow.
So pleased to see young Ted is travelling well.
ReplyDeleteGrace personified in that portrait. It's sublime. All that foliage ablaze with Autumn colour...now THAT's a sight I'd love to see.
ReplyDeleteVery curious to hear about the UFO encounter. Fancy it being honoured in such a legitimate way!
